Xingyin LIU, professor, doctoral supervisor, received a PhD in Science from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2006. From 2006 to October 2015, she successively engaged in bioinformatics and mechanism research on the interaction between gut microbes and the host at University of Rochester, USA. From 2010 to 2015, she was engaged in epigenetic research on genes associated with autism at at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, USA. She was a specially-appointed professor of Nanjing Medical University in September 2016, a specially-appointed medical expert of Jiangsu in 2016, and a specially-appointed professor of Jiangsu in 2017. She is the academic leader of the gut microecological innovation team at Nanjing Medical University, mainly dedicated to the study of the mechanism on the association between gut microbes and human diseases. Committee member of Jiangsu Society for Microbiology, Member of Chinese Society for Microbiology, Member of Chinese Neurobiology, Vice Chairman of Medical Genetics Committee of China Healthy Birth Science Association. In recent five years, she has published many innovative research results in Cell Host & Microbes, Cell Reports, Gut Microbes etc.. She is the reviewer of internationally renowned journals such as GUT, Micobiome, Cell Reports, Science Advance, and Gut Microbiota.
