Dr. Shuangjiang LIU is a professor at Shandong University (Qingdao) since 2021 and a scientist at Institute of Microbiology of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing). His research covers many fields in microbiology. He has been working on microbial metabolism and chemotaxis towards aromatic compounds, particularly with Corynebacterium glutamicum and Comamonas testosteroni. He cultivated many bacteria from various environments including human and animal guts/feces. He also explored how to use those bacteria for bioremediation of polluted environments and for human health management.
