Dr. Ruifu YANG, professor, from Beijing Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, China. His research focused on bacterial genomics, evolution and pathogenesis. He started recently on microbiota and health using omics- and culturomics-based techniques. He has published more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including New England Journal of Medicine, Science,Nature Genetics,Nature Communications, PNAS, Clinical Infectious Diseases etc. His publications have been cited by international colleagues more than 21,000 times with H-index of 67. He is vice-director of Chinese Society of Microbiology and member of National Evaluation Committee for Food Safety Risk Assessment. He is director for Committee of Probiotics, Prebiotics and Health, Chinese Society of Nutrition. He is also associate editors for PLOS NTD, Microbiologica Sinica, Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine, Journal of Zoonosis.
