Yingfei MA, Professor at the Institute of Synthetic Biological, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Yingfei MA obtained his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the institute of microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2009. Then he received his Postdoc training in microbial metagenomics at the University of California, San Diego. In 2011, he was employed as a research scientist in studying the association of human microbiome and human disease at New York University, School of Medicine. In 2015, he became a Principal investigator running a microbiome lab. Currently, his lab focuses on phageome, phage synthetic biology and phage therapy in treating the infections of antibiotic-resistant pathogens. Their studies are supported by various grants more than ten million Yuan from Shenzhen government and Chinese National Science Foundation.
